At WhiteStone Learning Co., we believe education is about more than academics. It is about helping students develop wisdom, character, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
We partner with homeschool and cyber school families by providing Christ-centered educational support, enrichment opportunities, accountability, and meaningful learning experiences in a nurturing environment.
The name WhiteStone is inspired by two powerful biblical pictures.
In 1 Samuel 7:12, Samuel raised an Ebenezer stone as a testimony to God's faithfulness, declaring, "Thus far the Lord has helped us." We desire for every student and family we serve to recognize God's faithfulness throughout their educational journey and to build their lives upon the firm foundation of His truth.
The name is also inspired by Revelation 2:17, where Jesus promises:
"To the one who conquers... I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it."
This beautiful promise reminds us that our identity is not found in academic performance, achievements, struggles, or the labels the world places upon us. Our identity is found in Christ. Every child has been uniquely created by God with purpose, value, and a calling that He is unfolding in their life. We want students to grow not only in knowledge, but also in confidence in who God created them to be.
Our goal is not to replace parents as the primary educators of their children, but to come alongside them with encouragement, guidance, and support. We believe parents know their children best, and we are committed to helping families cultivate both academic excellence and godly character.
Through learning pods, STEM activities, educational field trips, academic coaching, tutoring, and enrichment opportunities, we seek to create an environment where students are known, challenged, encouraged, and equipped to thrive.
Meet Your Facilitator
Hi, I'm Kayt Jewell, founder of WhiteStone Learning Co.
My educational journey has been anything but traditional, and I believe that unique path has equipped me to serve students and families in a meaningful way.
Before becoming a full-time mom and educator, I worked in research and development chemistry, where I developed a deep appreciation for critical thinking, problem-solving, and the beauty of God's design in creation. Science has always been one of my greatest passions. My college studies included mathematics, chemistry, and physics, giving me a strong foundation in STEM education and analytical thinking.
When I became a mother, I made the decision to step away from the corporate world and focus on raising and educating my children. During those years, I homeschooled my daughters and discovered a love for teaching that extended far beyond academics. I learned that the most meaningful education happens when students feel known, valued, and encouraged.
My teaching experience includes serving as a second-grade teacher in a private Christian school, where I focused on creating strong relationships with students while cultivating both a love for learning and a love for Jesus. I also served as a frequent substitute teacher, often stepping into long-term assignments and assuming regular classroom responsibilities to ensure students experienced consistency and stability during extended teacher absences.
Throughout my teaching experiences, I have planned lessons, written assessments and exams, provided individualized tutoring, tracked student progress, and supported learners with a wide range of academic needs. As both a teacher and homeschool parent, I understand that every child learns differently and thrives when education is tailored to their unique strengths and challenges.
WhiteStone Learning Co. was born from a desire to combine the academic opportunities available through public cyber education with the biblical worldview and personal relationships often found in Christian education. My heart is to provide students with encouragement, accountability, academic support, and meaningful connections while helping them develop confidence, character, and a lifelong love of learning.
I consider it a privilege to partner with families as they pursue excellence in education for the glory of God.
